A VRLA battery (valve-regulated lead-acid battery), more commonly known as a sealed battery or maintenance free battery, is a type of lead-acid rechargeable battery. Due to their construction, they can be mounted in any orientation, and do not require constant maintenance. The term "maintenance free" is a misnomer as VRLA batteries still require cleaning and regular functional testing. VRLA batteries have been shown to reach catastrophic failure and are prone to thermal runaway. A common cause of failure is overheating and dust obstructing the valve, preventing release of gasses. They are widely used in large portable electrical devices, off-grid power systems and similar roles, where large amounts of storage are needed at a lower cost than other low-maintenance technologies like lithium-ion.

Cycle Long Life

The Panasonic VRLA battery Cycle Long-Life series was developed in an an effort to reduce the number of battery replacements.
This battery can be used as the main power supply for a varietyof products, including electric cars, electric lawn mowers,
medical equipment, golf-caddies etc.

TRICKLE DESIGN LIFE 6-9 YEARS

The Panasonic VRLA battery Trickle Long-Life series was developed by studying and analyzing the factors which caused deterioration of conventional batteries in various aspects. The safety and reliability of these batteries has been greatly improved
through the adoption of flame-retardant resins. (For 2.2Ah to 33Ah, 94HB-equivalent resin is standard;
94V-0-equivalent resins are also suitable)

TRICKLE DESIGN LIFE 10-12 YEARS

The Panasonic VRLA battery Trickle Design Life 10-12 years series was developed by studying and analyzing the factors which caused deterioration of conventional batteries in various aspects. Further, whereas conventional batteries needed separate bolts and nuts for connection, medium-capacity (24 to 42Ah) type batteries of this series adopt unique terminals which have been made
into bolts (threaded post) for simpler installation and better safety; this makes replacement and connection of the batteries easier.
The Panasonic VRLA battery covers a broad range of applications including UPS, wheel chairs, lawn mowers, golf-caddies,
alarm systems, wind turbines, vending machines etc.

TRICKLE DESIGN LIFE 15 YEARS

The hallmarks of the Panasonic LC-QA battery series are a very long service life of 15 years (at 20degreeC) and excellent product quality. The latest LC-QA models are the result of a research program to prolong the service life of lead-acid batteries, which Panasonic started back in 1984.

Kung Long Batteries Industrial Co


Established 20 years ago, Kung Long Batteries Industrial Co., Ltd. is the only professional lead-acid battery manufacturer in Taiwan that owns a bonded factory and is also listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange. Thirty percent compound growth has been achieved in the annual number of batteries shipped for the past five years, generating NTD$4 billion in revenue income. EVHSeries is specially designed for efficient discharges in cyclical applications. The EVH series can serve more than 400 with a design life up to 5 years in standby service.


EVX Series is specially designed for efficient discharges in cyclical applications. The EVX series can serve more than 400 with a design life up to 8 years in standby service.


GPL Series is a general purpose battery up to 10 years design life under normal float charge at 25℃ (77°F).As with all CSB batteries, all are rechargeable, highly efficient, leak proof and maintenance free.

HR Series is specially designed for high efficient discharge application. Its characteristics are small volume, light weight and high discharge efficiency. It can be used for more than 260 cycles at 100% discharge. and has a design life of three to five yeas in standby service.
